stuart: you know, in a moment we're going to be talking about the city of detroit, a city council woman made a public appeal for a bailout from president obama. hey, she said, detroit voted overwhelmingly for president obama, now give us the money because we're very nearly bankrupt. it occurs to me that, you know, we said this before the election. when will california ask for federal help, a bailout of sorts because you are in such dire straits and you did vote by 20 points for president obama? is a bailout request still on the cards? >> well, think about this, there's now a two thirds majority in the state assembly and state senate. the republicans can stay home and drink lattes for the next couple of years and just receive their checks because they have absolutely no power in the state of california. so can the state of california now with a two thirds majority ask for a bailout from barack obama? you bet they can. and i will tell you, they most likely will. stuart: really? do you think -- would the country stand for that? okay, i mean, much of the country lost the election in a sense
